Question 3. Is the garden enclosed?

Yes, there is a fence around the back garden with gate to woods at rear and gate at side that leads to front garden and parking area. 

Question 4. Is there a limit on the number of dogs?

Yes, we are happy to accept up to 2 dogs on condition that they are never left unattended in the cottage, that they are not allowed in bedrooms or on any furniture and that all dog mess is cleared away safely from the garden and surrounding areas.

Question 5. Can we have guests to stay?

The cottage can sleep 6 people so as long as you don’t exceed that number, you are free to have other people stay with you within the current COVID-19 guidance.

Question 6. Which supermarkets offer delivery?

We understand that Tesco, Sainsburys and ASDA will deliver groceries ordered online. Local food businesses also deliver – e.g. the Balliefurth Farm Shop in Nethybridge

The delivery address of the cottage is Heath Cottage, Deshar Road, Boat of Garten PH24 3BN. Don’t overlook the Village Shop in Boat of Garten – it stocks a surprisingly wide range of dried, fresh & frozen food.

Question 7. Can you recommend places to eat out and/or get takeaway?

Recommendations for restaurants & takeaways in Boat of Garten are listed on the Explore the Area page.  There are also good eating places in Aviemore, Grantown-on-Spey, Nethybridge and Carrbridge.

Question 8. Is there anything that you’ve had to remove due to Covid that we might want to bring?

We provide all booked guests with a full inventory for the cottage as well as a reminder of the changes we have made for COVID peace of mind. Currently, the items removed include all books, games, DVDs and DVD player, hairdryers and welcome tray. We hope to re-introduce these items once it is safe to do so.

Question 9. Is there secure outdoor storage for bikes, equipment etc?

Yes, the hut in garden has a padlock and is available for use by guests. It will take up to four bikes.
