The peaceful village of Boat of Garten is best known for its world-class golf course, the Strathspey Steam Railway and the Ospreys at Loch Garten.

At the heart of the Cairngorm National Park, there are few finer places to appreciate nature and the great outdoors.

Cyclists and walkers can set off from the door of the cottage and follow marked tracks to Loch Garten, Nethybridge, Aviemore and beyond.

Cairngorm mountain and Loch Morlich are 20 minutes by car. Whisky distilleries, golf courses, galleries and craft shops dot the surrounding area and you can be on the beautiful Moray Firth beaches like Nairn and Findhorn in less than an hour.
