Question 3. Is the garden enclosed?
Yes, there is a fence around the garden with gate at the entrance and a stile over the fence to the beach. But, the fence has gaps so be aware – determined dogs may find a route out!
Question 4. Is there a limit on the number of dogs?
Yes, we are happy to accept up to 2 dogs on condition that they are never left unattended in the cottage, that they are not allowed in bedrooms or on any furniture and that all dog mess is cleared away safely from the garden and surrounding areas.
Question 5. Can we have guests to stay?
The cottage can sleep 4 people so as long as you don’t exceed that number, you are free to have other people stay with you within the current COVID-19 guidance.
Question 6. Which supermarkets offer delivery?
Shore Cottage is a mile off the main road down a single-track path and you are unlikely to get deliveries from national supermarkets. Some local businesses may deliver on special request. You will easily find all the food and drink products you need in the local shops and businesses dotted around Tarbert and the wider Kintyre area.
Question 7. Can you recommend places to eat out and/or get takeaway?
Recommendations for restaurants & takeaways in Tarbert are listed on the Explore the Area page. There are also cafes, restaurants and take-aways in Ardrishaig and Lochgilphead.
Question 8. Is there anything that you’ve had to remove due to Covid that we might want to bring?
We provide all booked guests with a full inventory for the cottage as well as a reminder of any recent changes we have made for COVID or other reasons. If you have any specific questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Question 9. Is there secure outdoor storage for bikes, equipment etc?
There is no covered storage but equipment can be left adjacent to the cottage and could be padlocked to a gate or fence. It is a low-risk area and theft or damage is rare.
